The
Friends of the Library continue
their commitment to the library
by raising funds and supporting
programs that enhance learning,
reading and a love of the library.
The Friends of
the Library sponsor several children
and young adult programs including,
the Summer Reading program, the
monthly Family Story Time and Dr.
Seuss's Birthday. The Friends help
purchase children's reading material,
adult education videos, CD-ROM
materials and CD music collection.
Through grant funding, The Friends
have created a core collection
of Mental Health materials, worked
with the Kenai Senior Center to
create a lending library of Dementia
and Alzhiemer's materials and installed
in the Library a museum quality
display case for a collection of
Native Alaskan dolls and beadwork.
